I travelled back to Thailand at the beginning of January 2021. Due to the travel restriction and the COVID-19 situation, I was required to be in a designated quarantine facility (SQ/ASQ/LSQ) for 15 nights.
Pullman G Hotel – my ASQ choice
I was in Pullman G Hotel, one of the ASQ facilities (ASQ = Alternative State Quarantine), which cooperates with BNH Hospital for the provision of the COVID-19 tests and other medical support services during my stay.
Duration of the ASQ stay: 15 Nights 16 Days
Price: Starting from 60,000 THB
Booking and deposit: The booking can be made directly with the hotel. Only 5,000 THB deposit is needed. If your travel date needs to be changed, the duration of ASQ stay can be re-arranged without any additional cost as well.

In-room amenities (that were necessary for me and I can remember to list here): Shower, Bathtub, Bathrobe/changing rob, Smart TV, Movable working table, Kettle, Mini Fridge, Yoga mat (upon request), Weight/Kettlebell (upon request). It was a shame that I did not have a microwave in my room.
Interior/Decoration: My room was Hotel G Deluxe. The interior is all white. I really enjoyed having this bright, clean white room throughout my stay. No balcony, but having very large floor-to-ceiling windows (cannot be opened) with a great view.
Services: You can contact the hotel staff from the hotel’s LINE account or in-room telephone. They are really responsive and try to accommodate your need as much as the ASQ regulation allows.

The last meal here (Breakfast @ the check-out date) was served in proper dishes and table setting, which made my stay more memorable.
‘MY’ Main reasons to choose this ASQ hotel:
– The interior and decoration.
– No balcony as I would like to avoid smokers.
– Availability of bathtub.
– Good-size movable working table.
– Good meals and the afternoon tea – this is another good thing to help you section your day.
– Location.
You can use PARAGON ASQ Chat&Shop service (via LINE application ”
@PARAGONASQ”) to order anything you need for your daily life or for brightening up your room. I ordered some necessities and also some aromatherapy products for the room as well. I have heard from other reviews that the hotel provides a 7-11 shopping service as well. But I did not try the service.

The quarantine can be tough, even though you are in a good facility
So I was trying to establish a routine to prevent me from floating around in the room, over-watching TV, over-working, over-sleeping, or feeling caged. I made a daily journal and noted down my “daily happiness”. I was also lucky to manage to have some flowers in my room to even brighten my ASQ life. The flowers were from @happy.florists on Instagram.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Although I think the price is quite high, it was worth investing – especially investing in my own well-being. My initial budget was around 50,000 THB. However, I have a problem with sleeping in a non-home environment. Thus, I would like to make sure that I chose the place that looks pleasant for me to stay alone for half a month!! With the decoration, the hotel room looks a lot less gloomy, and scary, to me. So I mainly chose this hotel based on the room decoration, availability of good meal, location, and its good review.
All the dishes served, with only a few exceptions, were really delicious. The portion is generous, with the proper starter with bread, main course, cheese course, and dessert for every meal. You can also select a drink of your choice that comes with every meal and the afternoon tea.
The staff can be contacted conveniently by the hotel’s official LINE or the internal phone. All of the requests, if they can be met, were serviced in a timely manner.
One of the things that I really enjoyed during my stay is, this might sound narcissistic, to do quarantine photoshoot sessions in the room when I was bored. I did have two shoots on the days I went out to have the COVID-19 test. Thus, besides everything I have mentioned, this made my stay at the Pullman G Hotel so enjoyable as the room was well-decorated and very photogenic.
To conclude – I really enjoyed my stay. Although there were a few hiccups during the stay, they were so trivial. Thus, I highly recommend Pullman G as an ASQ and a place for a staycation. I will definitely revisit the hotel again as a normal guest, (hopefully) not the ASQ guest!
